just phone your insurance mate and see if they cover you for it. if they dont ask how much more for them to cover you for it

You would need different insurance if you have SD&P cos that will cover you from home to one place of work but cos you will be on the road like a taxi driver then you will be classed as a professional driver and therefore insurance will cost some what more.

people will go nuts at me saying this but....

if you get paid cash in hand (which most take away places do) i wouldn't bother telling your insurance because you aren't actually working. if you aren't paying tax or ni on it then if anyone ever asks, you are doing that one delivery as a favour for a friend and not working. prove otherwise.

I always thought business class 1 to be honest? Used to do it in my spare time when i was doing my apprenticeship and i had business for that. It says it convers the policy holder to drive in connection with the employers business.

even if its cash in hand work, you are still an employee and still driving in connection with the employers business, so yes you will require class 1 business use

my AX VTS cost nothing extra to put business class use on it (not deliveries, something else) and for the peace of mind of actually being covered in the event of an accident/killing someone its worth doing

Effectively driving un-insured then... You might as well also:-

    [ ] Speed
    [ ] Ignore Red Lights
[ ] Drive on the most convenient side of the road/pavement for your next delivery
[ ] Eat the takeaway instead of delivering it
