Do i need new gear linkages? (Video)

    The gearstick has always been loose and floppy so I'm thinking of buying some new gear linkages but just want to check that's the problem before i do.

    get someone to watch the selector forks on the gearbox, and then move it from side-to-side and see if the linkage is moving and the selector fork is staying still (if so then time for new linkages)

    if you see the selector fork moving, then it'll be the the dowel in the selector fork arm/shaft that needs changing
