starter motor problem - i think.

   Having trouble starting my car. Was fine until tonight. When i turn the key it sounds like the starter motor spins as i can hear a "whine" noise like its no engaging. Anyone else had this?do you know if its starter motor itself or something else stopping it enganging?

   You are right, this is often the starter motor.
