magnex 421 race

    has anyone got a straight through exhaust system with a twin magnex backbox

    i got a 421 manifold and a magnex cat back exhaust system but thinking oh using my 421 with a supersprint race section and my magnex backbox

    does anyone have this if so wat does it sound like comments welcome

    if your going turbo wait and get a custom exhaust made up

    +1 don't spend money on a magnex/supersprint system as you'll need a bigger bore exhaust for boost

    ok mate, but that may not be till the end of this year was just going to try squeeze a little extra power out of my gti before i turbo it and put it on the dyno etc

    I would honestly try and save as much as possible so you can get the most reliable turbo setup you can afford.

    In reality there isn't huge gains to be had across the different types of aftermarket exhausts. With this in mind I'd keep your current setup

    ok thanks for the advice mate

    for my turbo setup im thinking about dp manifold and downpipe, 490cc pico injectors from racetonix, t25/gt25 turbo, wossner pistons and pec rods, 2.25" piping and medium size intercooler then custom 2.5" bore exhaust system and then possibly predator ecu with lc-1 wideband

    do you think this should be pretty reliable?

    Yeh sounds good to me.

    You'll want a clutch to cope with that and a quaife atb to try and make your gearbox reliable.

    ideally you want a 3" exhaust not 2.5
