Are 02 vtr rear brakes same as VTS and 106 GTI?

   Im having to buy a caliper for my 2002 vtr and i've been on ebay and there are some 106 GTI ones and just wondered if they are the same as the brakes that are on the vtr. They certainly look the same, do they differ due to abs though?

   They're the same i believe.
   I dont think the ABS cars have different calipers.

   Yes they are the same calipers. ABS is controlled by an ABS ECU and a pump inline on the brake pipes, nothing to do with the calipers.

   Thanks for that. Yeah pics look identical so thought ABS must be separate.

   Just a case of finding some with free none corroded bleed nipples now as that the reason i need one mine sheered off and cannot get it out although i managed to do it on the passenger rear and put a new stainless bike bleed nipple in.
