Important! : VTS Box in a VTR

  1. #1
Recently my vtr box has died and i have removed it and have a vts box waiting elsewhere. my friend who owns this box tells me tht this vts box needs a vts flywheel to fit as apprently the vts fly is bigger/thicker. im fairly sure that it should fit straight on with no modds etc.

basically im looking for confirmation that this box should go straight on without a new fly

also ive been looking thought this forum and dispite many hours looking i cant find what i wanna know about the effect of going from vtr/vtr box to vtr/vts box. i dont wanna lose much top end speed but would like more accleration.

in thoery how much top end would i lose and how much quicker would the 0-60 or 60-? be????

iirc if you want awesome acceleration just stick a 1.1 box in

lol that would be nice but im happy with my top speed lol and i already own a vts box lol. i duno how this works but ive been 135mph on my car with no major mods without redlining and with lowprofile r15 alloys. lol i know this one is off topic but does your quality of tyre increase ur acell and top end? cos i have soem really shitty tires on and have some f1 eagle jeson button tires ready to fit.

Any saxo/106 will fit any model. Dosent matter what size the fly is. Also VTR and VTS ones are the same just to make his point more invalid.

Top speed might possibly be higher as its an easier ratio for the car to push but do you really go for the land speed record every journey.

    Accelaration will be alot better.

VTS and 1.1 box have just about the speed at reline in each gear. 0.2mph difference irc.

Get a VTS box, i have and it transforms the VTR. Its more a sports box instead of a tourer (longer ratio) box. Seems more lively.
