centre bores!

ford fitment very very slightly smaller than the citroen centre bore...
what shall i do to make them fit
its either do something to the wheel or do something to the spacer,
but could it be a problem say if i sold the wheel on to a ford owner and it had a slightly bigger bore
or if i do the spacer, theyre 35mm hubcentrics, so quite important that the wheels sitting on the hub i guess cus its so wide so theyd be unuseable for a citroen wheel after im guessing?

You run a spacer that has a Ford outer bore to fit the wheel, and a Citroen inner bore to fit onto the Citroen hub - at least that's what I do with the Superleggeras

You can normally fit larger bore wheels (within reason) to a smaller bore hub by using a spigot ring to take up the difference and keep the wheel centre'd on the hub - when you put the wheel bolts in they'll centre the wheel too.

havent got time to get hold of another set of 35mm hubcentrics before fcs so need to work with what ive got
so youre saying itd be okay to take some off the centre bore of the wheels?

So you've got Citroen spacers (ie citroen to citroen centre bores) and trying to fit them with Ford alloys?

The ideal would be to get some Citroen to Ford spacers - and would likely be cheaper than getting the centre bore of 4 wheels opened up a small amount to fit a Citroen centre bore

its only two that need opening up and think i can get it done by someone ben knows,
just wanted to know if its safe. dont think ill have much luck finding 35mm ford to cit unless i get custom ones.
and yeh citroen to cit centre bore spacers, i didnt even know they were any different, always been told ford fits straight to cit, just need 20mm spacers lol only realised last night when i tried to fit test fit them.

If you can get someone to open them up then it sounds like the best option? Will it de-value the wheels by doing so? ie are they worth a lot more to Ford people ?

They'll be safe if opened up to fit the spacers nicely.

thats what i was thinking, tbh i cant see me advertising them to ford people and had alot of intrest from 106oc people, so im not sure really. ive got 20mm spacers i could use but theyre not hubcentrics and i dont want them to be unsafe :/
    thankyou for the help

No worries ! Good luck with it !

Ive got some hubcentric 20mm citreon to ford spacers but they are the type that use longer bolts. Pm me if your interested

hat ever you do you must have wheels located on the spacer correctly .and spacers a tight fit on citroen hub --anything else is dangerous .
If i am picking you up correctly the spacers are the bit to alter --simple turning job and any engineer with a lathe can do it in 10mins

right, so changing the hubcentrics is the better idea?
only thing that was putting me off is that theyre expensive and i dont wanna ruin them lol i just want it to be safe as theyre pretty damn wide lol but if doing the spacers better ill do that

i only really want hubcentrics that bolt to the car first on my car but thanks anyways
