    frontpipe to cat this should have spring bolts am i right... had new front pipe few months back been back coz of sqeaking/rattle few times.. i just been looking in haynes and should be spring bolts... and they not!!

    bump... should i take back and get them noobs to spring load the joint?


    i dont wanna look a prat if they dont need to be!

    Im assuming your talking about a flexi joint? if your not running big power they will be fine, I had my c20xe corsa's exhaust welded front to back and never had any problems and that did 190hp on the rollers.

    gonna take it back.. i cant stand the buzz at 3k rpm.. i hate any type of buzz, rattle or whatever..

    yes they are spring loaded bolts.
    Had mine off last week cos there was a spueeking sound coming from that joint when throttle was applied/released. Took joint apart and, cleaned and put some copper grease on it and now it's fine.
    There was also a rattle coming from same place.
    Just on front of the joint is a metal bracket which had cracked at one side.
    My dad welded it back and it's been fine since.
