Humming noise after car turned off.

    Locked my car etc... went back out like 5 mins later and could hear like a humming noise or something coming from the engine bay.

    The cam covers etc were stupidly hot and last night the heat light came on but slowly went back down again...

    Not sure if its linked.

    Any ideas?

    Is what i thought, but its been fine ever since the light came off.

    Will have to leave it running and check later but cant see why not...

    the fan can stay on for a while after the engine s turned off if the water is very hot.

    if you aren't sure if the fan is working or not whip the green coolant temp sensor out and it should send the fans into a failsafe mode

    Did the coolant light come on ?

    It was the bolt that came off so the fan motor was just spinning and hitting the fan everytime.

    Now i cant find a bolt that fits onto it...
