swapping looms

    right where do i start i have just found out that my 03 vts has got an ecu fault, and i cant find a cheap replacement. just wanting to know if it is posible just to get hold of an interia loom and engine loom+ecu from an older single plug car and swap it out with my 3 plug loom and ecu

    any help gratefull

    far far too much effort, but yes possible. would be easier to buy a new car though :lol:

    car wont idle and runns like sh*t changed all the sensors and had it diagnosed as ecu now

    i can get a full mk1 vts for 300 so was just going to swap everything over as im finding it hard to get hold of a ecu for cheaoer thn that

    just get the right ecu. whos actually diagnosed this ecu fault? see it often mechanics who just cant find a fault or cant be arsed looking just blaming the ecu when its not. do you have any fault codes?

    it was manic motors and no didnt get a code.

    hmmm.
    locked ecu's go for less than £20 in my ecxperience, unlocked ones £100ish

    i willing to pay that for an unlocked one just cant find any one who will sell me one lol
