i need ideas for new plates

   my number plates are looking shitty. Ive seen the metal ones on a car today they looked nice! What do you think????? Standard polycarb ones or metal plates???

   They do these pressed steel one's on ebay for £20 not bad really French Pressed http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/French-Pressed...item33587a8a5a
   
   or they do the normal one's for about 8 quid a pair on ebay......i personally would go for the standard no steel pressed plates

   i wasnt sure if the steel ones where legal or not. has i dont think there reflective

   I think some are reflective but maybe not all....just gotta make sure you get the right one's i guess....
   
   But yeah i've seen a few around and cars and look pretty neat

   IIRC french plates arent legal, but u can get some legal metal pressed plates...

    thanks mate.... only had it a couple of weeks. Ive painted the alloys and brakes, de-cated it, painted badges, painted rocker and basicly a really good clean and polish etc. I need more ideas on what to do next tho lol

    New law on plates i got told by a company the other day, its illegal to have any type of boarder on your plates.............. Bollocks me think but i dont know thats what the bloke said when my mate asked for boarders. Iv got black boarders though.

    Borders arn't illegal. We make them at halfords with a border and it's legal

    yeah it is illegal mate. i got a 30quid fine from the police for havin a border and my name on the bottom!!! there so picky now days! i then had to take my car to a mot station so they could see that ive changed my plates to legal ones. that cost me another £10 just to stamp my fine they gave me

    Police in my area are proper idiots then... i didnt think it was illegal for borders but they said it was

    Yeah we'd have been told they are illegal and therefore stop making them or else we'd be in the shit. Could have been cus of your name at the bottom? Thing is with plates is that it has to say at the bottom where they have been made so that if they are incorrect can be traced back to the maker. However if there is no manufacturer name at the bottom then thats illegal too for that reason

    oh right... think they was just being picky with my border then mate. They are very strict with them around here
