clutch to suit my turboed vts/ which gearbox to use.

evening all, i have had a search but couldnt really find an answer on the subject .
i will be changing my clutch on my saxo soon as its gone turbo , running probs around 170 bhp. i think the standard clutch will be at its limit at this power so i am after a uprated clutch for it. something not too harsh though ! what clutches are out there to suit my car

also , i have a s1 box on at moment which i will selling soon. i wanted a vtr box as they have the longer ratios. i have a 1.4 furio box sat in the garage so im wondering if this box is alot different to the vtr box .

i'd stick a vts box in with 170bhp, vtr box will still be too long.

i've just put a helix ceromettalic (sp?) 6 paddle in mine.

170bhp is okish on a standard clutch if its n/a but the sudden increase in power and much higher torque will make a standard one slip so i'm 99% sure you will have to get an uprated one.

all i can advise is helix as thats all i've ever bought for mine

okay thanks for the quick replys , i will have a search for the helix clutches. would you refer any websites or places to purchase from?

i might try to save a bit of money by using my 1.4 box i have as above i think the vtr and 1.4 boxes are quite similar.

Gmc do helix clutches - john won't be beaten price wise so worth seeing how much he can do one for?
