radiator coolant

    basically i thought i would check mine today, and was not a good result i found that the coolant was brown and gunky? will this have affected my rad at all? as im thinking of updating and putting a nissens one in anyway

    Hi, it may be cause by the radiator due to internal corrosion. The radiator will need a good flush with a hose.

    brown gunk don't sound great, possibly be head gasket mate. any loss of coolant/oil mayo under oil filler cap?

    that sounds like the headgasket tbh. would get it checked out mate.

    nope no lose of coolant/oil mayo under the oil filler cap, so hopefully just very rusty radiator however i will check the oil level tommorow now just to be sure ... otherwsie where is the best place to buy a nissens rad? as i would need fast postage aswell

    e-bay! Should get you posted within the week. There are a few nissens dealers around but usually only sell to traders and wholesalers.
