Important! : Dumb Questions About Alloy Sizes

  1. #1
Wondering if anybody could give me some guidance on how to find out the sizes of my alloys as my local tyre fitting garage will not fit tyres to my 3 Stud 15" KN Raceline Alloys Because there was not a tyre on any of the alloys or I did not have the dimensions so they did not know what size tyre would fit on.

i have tried searching the internet but i haven't found and alloys which look anything like mine so im stuck on what do to ????

any help would be top stuff as i need to get tyres for these alloys cus the tyres on my steelies are pretty much bold! (Y)

KN Raceline 15" 3 stud alloys. ive tried all differnet variations of these words to try n pick up different searches. n im sure thats the name of them as its says on the centre cap KN Raceline Wheels like this

    http://www.skidz.co.uk/images/logos/sect-kn.gif

and it confirms this on the inside of the alloy where it says in bold Letter KN RACELINE

Considering the sizes are CLEARLY visable on the first link when googling the EXACT information you gave us I think you might have to give him a little credit. Don't hate just because he can use google proplerly.

Tyre profile. First one should say 45 not 14 but the correct size is still clearyy visable in the pics.
(btw it took me 30 seconds to find it after googling KN raceline, it's nice to help people out but we expect a little common sense first)

nope thas all i needed to know thanks, ill stop wasting ur time now

The tyre size for 15" wheels on a Saxo is 195-45-15. If its a 1.0 three studded car or a 1.6 16v with four studs.

50s will be liable to rub.

195/45R15 is the size you're looking for mate. the first number (195) is the width of the tyre tread, the second number (45) is the height of the sidewall (where all the writing etc is stamped) expressed as a percentage of the width.

So a tyre which is 195mm wide with a height of 45% of 195mm is 87.75mm in height.

The final number (R15) is the diameter of the wheel in inches.

TBH you need to take your wheels to someone who has a better idea of what they're doing as your guys sound like they're used to fitting horseshoes.
