IIRC the cambelt needs changing at 70k, my motor has just hit 50k but is 7 years old so does that mean it's due for a cam belt replacement??? Checked the service booklet and it doesn't specify a time only a mileage...so if that's the case I can leave it until 70k?
VTR Cambelt - when?

#2Personally I would change it ASAP. When you have changed it you have piece of mind. A piece of rubber 7 years old is bound to have some sort of wear on it.
Im in a similar position to you. I've got an 03 106 but with only 32k on it. Ive bought a cambelt and tensioner (cambelt kit) and I'm looking to change it within the next few weeks. -
#3Might be a shout to change it like thinking of changing mine as well. How expensive and easy a job is it?

#4I got my cambelt kit from peugeot for £67. Ripped off really. You can get one a lot cheaper but I'm not sure on labour costs, because mine will be done by my dad and I.
Have a look on GSF car parts or Euro car parts for prices. -
#5cambelt kits are about £30-£40. Shouldnt be too hard to do yourself - theres a guide on here.
