funny sound!

   hey ,
   
   when ever i have turned the car on even for 3 seconds or what ever a few seconds after its been shut off there is like a clicking or ticking sound from the engin for a second then stops what is it ?
   
   i think it might be the fule pump shutting off or am i way off
