Heat Wrapping a 1.1i

    Hey, Ive seen quite a few people heat wrapping there manifolds and was just wondering if it was worth it doing it to a 1.1i i know someone else who has doe it and they said they got a slight performance increase not sure wether to beleive them or not so thought id ask the experts here first

    pointless especially on a standard manifold, only worth doing on a 4 branch as they don't have any heat shields and can make more hot air for the air filter you have

    its also to hold the heat in the manifold as if the manifold is warmer (up to a certain temp) the gasses can pass through it easier

    Keeps the temp in the engine bay down slightly as well.

    Heat wrapping any manifold for a non race car is not a good idea.
