Driveshaft problem

  1. #1
    Afternoon boys and girls

got a slight problem with my driveshaft, not the cv boot but the second rubber boot half way along

seems I get an intermittent noise from it as it's spitting grease

haven't had a proper look but couldn't see any splits, think it's slipped away from the cyclindral part of the driveshaft

is it possible to pump it full of grease again and cabletie/ jubilee clip it back into place?

    Cheers

cabletie might not be the best item to use - but it is possible.

So would a Jubilee clip not work?

And 6 months would be plenty time to be able to save up for a new shaft

found some of the grease and the stainless steel fixings on ebay

how do i fill the boot up? just squeeze the grease in and seal it?

    will that stop the knocking?

hi m8 take the driveshaft out and have a good look at it and see if its ok, a new boot is only 12 pounds and fill it with grease and pop it back in should work ok mine did.

found out it was loose wheel bolts causing the wheel to shake :/

ill be taking more care to check more often
