Dials doing weird stuff please help.

    The dials on a 1.1 saxo desire are playing funny games and want to get the bottom of what might be causing such a problem.

    Whats actually happening is at faster speeds at times the battery light starts flashing at the same time the dials freeze and the airbag light illuminates. Then both dials go full scale and stay there for a split second, after this they then go to bottom scale at which point the battery light and the airbag light goes out. The dials then re-cover as normal.

    What would be the cause of this?

    Any help would be most appricated.

    Could be a bad earth, dodgy alternator or battery problems mate

    the car has recently had a new battery. my best guess was as you say, bad earth or dodge alternator. done a search on the forum and that hasn't come up with any other surgestion.
