#2itll look shit if youre planning to do it yourself with rattle cans?
-
#3nah my mates got a proper compresser so i was just wandering if its pretty simple
-
#4Just prepare it properly and it should be fine
-
#5If you have never sprayed before I wouldnt recommend it!!
-
#6How much would you do it for?
-
#7Make sure the surface is good before spraying, clean, paint stripped etc and take your time
-
#8Sorry mate im not currently taking on anymore work. Your be looking at around 200 at a local bodyshop.
-
#9i can get my bonnet done for £80 and the guy that does it is an awesome sprayer mate
-

#13I paid £150 for mine. You'll never get a decent colour match though.
-
#14If you have a metallic car to do it right you need to have the new paint blended into the old on the wings otherwise the colour looks like it doesn't match.
I paid £150 for my leon cupra bonnet doing, pro job too. -
#15yeah because if you look on my bonnet theres a few dents so i was just going to get some paint made up at halfords seeing as can get it cheap cus i work there, and just use filler and smooth it all out.
-
#16posi blue very common you should get a bonnet for less than a respray
-
#18If you've never done painting before, I wouldn't recommend starting off by doing a bonnet. Its quite a big area, and you could end up with it looking like a zebra lol.
I did mine about 2 weeks ago...

But if you feel up to it, give it a go, and just take your time with it

#19thats a really good job mate

i might get my mate to do it seeing as he is re-sraying his whole camper van!! -
#20really dont know how people can afford to do these jobs for such little money - once materials come out of it you are leaving yourselves about £50 for labour?!?!
madness. -
#22i did my bonnet my self, n it came out ok in some areas and some didnt, im getting mine carbon wrapped next week to cover over it, im not happy with it at all
