Missfire

Ive got a mk 2 vtr which is idling fine but as soon as you build the rev's it missfires constantly. Ive checked the plugs which i renewed a month ago and are fine, changed the fuel filter and the air filter is clean.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me as its been off the road for about 3 days now and it's driving me spare.
    Thanks in advance

try reving it slowly to see if the revs get higher without it misfiring. if it does maybe fuel supply problem sensor.

Mine was misfiring not long ago and I found out it was the ignition coil. It also happened on my clio and again was the ignition coil. Might be worth replacing, you can get them for about £50 - £60

Try taking off the coil pack and spraying the insides with WD40. It worked well for me!

Cheers guys im gona try spraying wd-40 in the ends of the coil pack see if that has an effect first! I just noticed there is a tapping/ticking noise by the inlet manifold would this be a sign of a loose injector maybe? Thanks again
