exhaust downpipe

   what type of bolt holds the downpipe to the engine underneath the car. im struggling to get at to take it off. any ideas?
   
   stole this pic from a previous thread...its the bit just before were the cat connects to?

   Im sure its a 10 or 13mm spring bolt?

   thanks. what did you use to take it off? sockets or spanner. i couldnt sem to fit a socket in but maybe im missing a trick or something.

   I changed my cat 2 days ago mines a mk 2 but was definatly 13mm spring bolt

   changing the cat wouldn't need to have the down pipe removed though. dont think ive explained it properly. just before the end of the downpipe is a bracket that holds the exhuast to the engine. thats what i baffled by. cant seem to get anything on it to remove it.

   mine was holded on by 2 10mm bolts. i had to get a spanner on mine

   You cant get a socket on it
   
   Use two spanners mate
