hi folks, bought a 03 plate vtr 5 months ago and it had its problems but solved most of them but the fuel gauge dont work only when you turn the ignition on it goes up and down a few times then sits below the red with no light on ive tested the wires on the pump/sender under back bench and theres power going to them was told if the fuel gauge didnt go up when i earthed out the live wire to the sender it will be the gauge thats gone in the clocks is this right??? if so could i get another set of clocks and take out the guage and do a swap cos i dont wanna mess the mileage up as another set will have higher or lowwer milage unless theres sum way of swaping the mileage over as well??
second problem the rear wheel on passenger side looks like this \----|well not as bad lol
last problem keeps warping disk on front passenger side and is back to making the peddle judder and feels like its gonna fall off any idea why its doing this ??

    Hi,

Later models, like yours, have a digital dash module which drives the fuel sender unit and the fuel gauge. Difficult to know whether it is embedded in the dash or the gauge.

Sounds like your rear beam bushes may have collapsed. See: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=317223

Check if your caliper guide pins are seized. You'll need to change the disks and pads.

I had this problem with my 306 and got told it was the fuel sender so i changed that and still happened and the problem was my dials...

need new clocks mate mine had the same problem got some new clocks problem solved the only other issue then is you need to have your mileage reset via the ecu as new or second hand clocks do not bring up your correct mileage

the rear wheel has been hit by a kerb at sum point as the wheel is damaged abit so i would say the outta stub pin is bent, had same issue with my cuzs 306 he had a few years ago n it was just a case of geting another pin and swapping it over so i will have a look this weekend.

as for the clocks i will try and find a set thats got narly same milage on theres plenty in scrap yard.
and i will look at the breaks again cheers for info folks
