My car is using so much water I have to top it up like every 2 weeks. Any ideas what is happening here? I don't want my saxo to break for FCS

    Thanks

    Thanks

yeh more than likely, was just a suggestion,as have had someone saying the same as you and it was just the pump leaking.

I'll give it a check, I heard it could be the head gasket on its way out though?

Just topped it up, in order for me to find out if its the water pump should I let my car idle for a bit and see if it goes down, or can I leave the engine off and it'll leak?

sounds like the headgasket mate..keep ontop of the levels and get it sorted asap. take it to a garage for a compression test or sniffer test

Well when I bought it, the old owner said he did replace the head gasket I think. How much is it to get a head gasket replaced?

    Thanks

Have the same problem mate, drinks like a lout!

Fan is always blaring! Sounds like a helicopter is landing lol

Consult a haynes manual, I read up on the coolant system and think im going to try replacing my corroded radiator and flushing the entire system to get the grime out, maybe even a cooler thermostat as i can imagine that would protect from heat better.

It may sound complicated but flushing is as simple as putting a hose pipe in one rad pipe and waiting for the water to run clear out the other rad pipe. Removing the thermostat first of course
