Clutch going.. something else?

  1. #1
Over the past few days Ive noticed its been a little more difficult to get my car into gear, and today the clutch pedal seems to have gone "loose", it goes down very easily..

Is this the clutch? Something else?

Its a mk2 furio,. rough idea on price of fixing the problem?

    Cheers,
    Mike

Seems the be the Clutch mate,

    Does the clutch Ride High?
have you cheched your Gearbox Oil?

If the gearbox is sometimes sticking then this isnt a major issue, but if your clutch is riding high etc, etc. then you may need a new clutch or a 3part clutch kit.

It can be. To be honest the main problem with the saxos are the Clutch / Gearbox.
Just identify and fix the problem before they get worse to avoid serious money (:

But juddering.. silly question but are you putting enough gas in before clutching?
if you are then looks like it may well be.

Doesnt really sound a major issue though, unless its annoying you obviously.

With my VTR sometimes it seems like it doesnt want to go into first/2nd but my clutch is going slightly high and tbh i'm taking it to the top before thinking of changing (:

personally i'd replace the clutch cable first mate, it's not difficult and alot cheaper than a clutch, unless it's slipping and the peddles high i wouldn't bother changing it mate.

is it not easier to change the whole gearbox instead of just changing the clutch?

Would be silly to replace the gearbox if it isnt needed. Clutch change is a pain to do (Gearbox off) but you wont know what the gearbox is like until the clutch is changed.
