Saxo engine just cut off? :S

    Hi everyone,

    I'm at work and thought hmm better go put some fuel in the vtr,
    the needle is in the red, I started the car it started fine but then suddenly just died I thought oh crap who's got a jerry can, I tried it again to make sure and the car started and stayed running and i was able to drive to fuel station with no problem. I thought I well if the car was that low on fuel it wouldn't of started again, but it must of had enough in it cos I 've had it that low in the past, so maybe the sudden cut off of the engine is maybe down to something else...
    It's recently had new spark plugs, air filter, oil change, and has ran fine since until the engine died on its own this afternoon.

    Any suggestions? I'm thinking Fuel Filter,

    My engine mounts are in need of changing as the engine wobble about alot when you turn her over, but i thought it can't be that can it?

    Might be worth changing the fuel filter, but as BobC said, if it was just a one off then don't worry about it.

    My car used to randomly cut out whilst driving and that was due the the negative on my battery being loose
