Fitting another steering pump-do i need to bleed it, if so how?

   Finally gonna get the tools out and attempt to change the steering pump, are there any problems i need to be aware of, and do i need to bleed the new pump, if so how? thanks.

   Hi,
   
   Its pretty straight forward. NEVER try to run the pump with fluid and the high pressure pipe disconnected as it generates more than 1,000 PSI!
   
   Bleeding - engine off, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times, top up fluid if necessary. Then engine on repeat turning the steering wheel from lock to lock several times. Check levels top up fluid if necessary.

   Thanks Bob, i'm way too old for all this clambering around under cars (boo-hoo!) but a man's got to do what a man's got to do! here we go then off to the breakers...............i'll let you know how i get on. Thanks again.
