Smoothed boot.

    I have a Mk1 saxo, 1.6 VTR.
    Im wanting to get a smoothed boot but the problem im thinking about is to open my boot, (thats where it would be smoothed, so how am i going to get round this.

    You will have to wire up a boot solenoid, can buy them off ebay I believe.

    maplins do a central locking kit, which is the same as most of the 'cheap' crap on ebay. £8.99 iirc

    im sure best way is to weld some rods into recess for filler to hold but never botherd with my 205,but dont hold me to this if it worked as i sold the pug after a week

    best way is to weld a plate in the recess and a skim of fibreglass and filler over the top

    Do you have to shape the plate cus it a little bit curved

    I dont really no much about it but from what i can gather the less filler and fiberglass the best

    dont use a fibreglass panel like that ^. complete waste of time and will inevitabley crack/ sag

    I work for maplin and the central lock solonoid kits dont work neither do the central locking kit got it myself and their still not fitted need to do alot of door modification work to get them to work. Might just sell up and get the origional saxo solonids will work better lol

    I worked at Maplin, they are probably cheaper than the cheap crap on ebay and will break long before the ebay crap does In short, only buy switches from Maplin lol, the rest is cheap chinese junk
