Third brake light with tinted window

Dont know if this is the correct section, mods feel free to move it if not. I had a search but it didn't throw anything up. Basically I just fitted a new boot with a tinted window and now the third brake light comes up orange. Do I have to get special bulbs to counter this?

and have a brake light, thats not the legal colour, say hi to the cops pulling you, failing your mot, and a fine on the road side!...awesome advise!

just take the brake light out! you only need two

You could always do what the person who fitted the tint should have done. When you fit tint youre supposed to cut around the brake light and peel that section off as long as you do it off a solid edge and have a steady hand I will look fine. I'm assuming it tint film not actual tinted glass

looks like glass, no bubbles or anything, but id assume it would have been made so that the light is the correct colour.
tonto that's the sort of advice im after! didn't fancy geting pulled, so i was going to just take it out anyway.
