vts wont start need help

    a light has come the dash board. its the light with the symbol of a square and a key going in to it. it keeps on flashing the car will turn over but wont fire up. can somone plz help or even tell me why this has happened or how to fix it. thanx

    Yes its the immobiliser. For some reason it cannot read the chip in the key, or it doesn't recognise the chip in the key.

    i had it put on the computer. and the problem was a brown box under the ecu. i have this ordered and will be in tomorrow. i was just hoping its nothing major have you any suggestings

    That box under the ECU sounds like the fuel injection relay...

    would this stop the car from starting. it will turn over but wont fire up. what do i need to do if its the immobiliser. what parts do i need

    Yes, if the fuel relays broke then there wont be any fuel getting to the engine.

    If its this relay needs replacing and you've replaced it, and it still wont fire up with the immobiliser symbol still on, try disconnecting the battery, leave it a few minutes, and then reconnect the battery. Does a soft system reset, had a recovery guy do it to my car the other day when it cut out for no reason, and that symbol came on.
