Not a lot of point unless you strip the whole car. The back seats don't weight a lot, and it's no point losing their practicality when your not gonna get much gain

pretty pointless tbh mate, as said above with make no difference unless you fully strip car, and for the record back seats probably weigh less than 10kg..
also if you strip and use your car for daily use, you will slowly lose your hearing as its noisy

Yeah, no point at all unless your going hardcore and taking everything out.

I took my rear seats out just to see if I could notice any difference. It just made a lot of noise.

Indeed, got to agree with the above, the noise is unbearable, just put my interior back in, bloody glad not to have the exhaust in my ear drums every second!

Not worth it unless its for track

It might have been bearable if I just used the car for a run around.

But had to go down the M3 first thing in the morning to work. The seats were quickly put back in that evening

You're better off taking all door card's and rear plastic's out... If you want to go more extreme go for carpet, roof lining etc.

I've got no rear seats, no doorcards etc... I wouldn't say it's a lot faster, let's face it, it was never going to be... But it probably is a little (tiny) bit but it feels fun in the bends (could purely be down to the fact you feel more involved)

Ofcourse the other bonus is you have a reason to not give people a lift lol. No longer do i get 3am txt's 'giz a lift mate'.... Might be due to the fact i have no friends though?

If I didnt have to drive as much as I do, I would probably have a similar set up to you Chip. Rear seats taken out, and carbon fibre door cards.

Whilst it might not aid performance it looks a lot nicer in my eyes.

i have it done to mine and i find the back end goes to easily but due to having bucket recliners n harness's there no point in me having back seats

ive took my back seats, out only because im trying to turn my saxo into a rally/track car, getting my roll cage in a few weeks and yeah the noise is loud, i have a 5inch custom pipe of an evo on mine and omg i need ear plugs at times
