Hi, i have a mk2 furio and it seems to be runnin hotter than it should be, it usually sits up at about 3 quarters an sometimes ever higher until the fans even come on. Has any one else got this? and how can i resolve this? Any help would be much appreciated.
    thanks,

check the coolant and check if the thermostat is working, would be the first obvious thing to do..

    sorry good point!
see if the lil spring pops out in the thermostat when in boiling water, but if that doesnt work then, expect a dear ish bill to pay

dunno about that been to problem
i got a head casket for £300 n fitted it my self with my dad, but garages will charge a shit load,
    citroen wanted £900 lol!
but it might not be fella,
might be ur thermostat like other lad said

Jesus 900 that is savage mate haha i only paid 1000 for it. I wouldnt think it would be goin it only has 40k on it and has not be nailed much. But i hope it is something simple, it never actually goes to the red but is quite high at times which cant be good, most peoples sit at half way the whole time

mine sits just under the line when going quick bang on, but thats how mine started before it broke, 3/4's up then give it another few weeks n it will go to the light, but urs might be saink simple, you can do it your self for a cheap price

I have noticed its been gettin slightly worse lately, iv check the coolant and water levels and its fine, so ill be gutted if e head goes cause i aint payin the best part of a grand for it when i barely paid that for e car.

i think its that of the top of my head fella, but you can do it your self for 300 nicker, a back street garage will probs do it for under 500, if you go to sell the car most ppl aint gona take a car what wont pretty much work, id sort it,
try ur thermo n put it in biling water n see if the spring pops out if not check your senors, n if that doesnt work well its ur head, you can get a engine for £200 n under lol

why is everyone so quick to say headgasket/thermostat??
hasnt anyone noticed its been bloody hot outside lately?? the saxo has a pissy little rad that cant be cooled down quickly enough before the coolant goes back into the engine..
