16v conversion HELP!

   right im planning on gettin a vts lump very soon which will be replacing my 2001 vtr 3plug ECU so how do i go about the ecu im not sure if the 16v ecu is unlocked but its out of the car already... so is there any way of me by passing my immobiliser for it 2 work quick replys would be most greatful cheers

   engine
   ECU
   loom
   
   and that should go straight into my VTR am i right??

   Should do if you get a 3 plug ecu and engine ideally same year as your car. You will probably want a vts/gti gearbox as well. Or you could do it the hard way like i did and go from a VTR mk2 to a 1999gti engine lol

   easyest way to do it is get the engine, loom, ecu, key with ignition barrel and transponder for to read the keys code. saves having any hassel getting ecu unlocked and that mate

   cheers guys hard_corejoeboy how did u go about doing that ive found an engine vts but its a single plug ecu so wots the best way to do it and im gettin the key so should i be alright??

   Im not tech head but all i know is the old vtr loom needs to be spliced into the engine you are getting's loom its not that complicated for a professional to do. If you get a single plug car you can also get the predator ecu in the future.

   its not long till i get the engine mate already found 1 its only done 52k single plug so it is simple enough 2 just splice my loom then??

    yesss the guy whos fittin it knows how to do the splicing hes gonna get the diagram and all he said was will take abit longer

    o yeah forgot 2 mention will i be able 2 start it up even thoe the ecu is unlocked but i have the key from the 16v????? reply asap please
