cams??

right so ive got enclosed intake, 4-1 mani decat and saxsport system so my breather mods are done... im looking into cams so what would i need for my mk2 vtr for cams is there certain things i do need other than the obvious cam shaft lmaoo??? cheers and how much am i looking at ??

also another quick question if i was to put a gti fuel pump in my vtr would i get an improved performance or just more petrol burning??

yes you do need more bits to do it properly

you should change bolts, gaskets, valve springs, head skimmed, cambelt, waterpump, tensioners, plugs, filter, oil, thermostat

so if i was to take it to manic they would do all the proper stuff im guessing?

you will be looking to pay nearly a grand then you would need a remap.

I did the work mostly myself and other bits at trade price from mates.

So add a few hours labour

cams - £185
valve springs - £60
Comp cambelt - £30
Vernier pulley - £120
Service parts (bolts,gaskets,tensioner,water pump, belts etc) £140
Headwork (p&p, fit cams, springs,skim) £180

i will be honest with you though, i love it now, it feels so much faster and pulls so much harder.

still need to get mine mapped.

I did sound like i was putting a downer on it but you have to be aware of the costs involved

If you can afford to do it though, do it, you wont regret it.
