hey just wanted to know that if when doin an engine conversion do u need to take the driveshafts out before liftin engine out or car u get them out whilst liftin the engine? i know its a stupid question but in all the guides ive looked at dont mention driveshafts, thanks

Drop the lower arms so the suspension legs iare free to move then you can pull the shafts out of the box.

need to remove drivers side shaft completely

thanks guys, hopefully tomo ill get both engines out tomo ready to do the swap

just pull the shafts out long before lifting the engine. The driverside shaft is bolted to the block and needs to be removed

I dropped my enigne without removing mine as the suspension was being a pain. I now have to replace the cv boot or maybe the whole drivers side driveshaft as a result.

So best to get them off, its not difficult to do as people have said.

    Did you unlock the ECU?
  12. #12
^^^^ what maty said above you would need to unlock the ecu failing that check for sparks. mate if youve done a conversion you should be able to do some simple dianostics put up what you have checked.

check the crank sensor that was my problem

yeah ecu is unlocked, which is the crank sensor? just checked it all again and it dont sound like fuel pump is primin :/

This is exactly what mines doing atm.

To start it was just a dodgy earth to the gearbox so check that.

Then try the coilpack to see if your getting a spark.

If you do find out what the problem is mate could you pm me and let me know as mine is still being a fucktard, pretty sure its my ecu though.
