Does this mean new gear linkages? (Video)

   My gearstick is pretty floppy in and out of gears so i thought i would take a look under the car and do a short video to see if anyone could help.
   
   Im not sure if anyone will be able to tell from the video... but its just to show the amount of play when the gear stick is moved.

   Can you see what needs replacing if is not the gear linkages?

   its not the linkage mate as its exactly whats wrong with my car. Its hard to explain what it is

   it happens because the rubber ball comes off the end which is what makes the knocking sound

   my Haynes says its called a Bellcrank Assembly.

    Would this also be the reason that some times its hard to get into 3rd and 5th? feels like something blocking the gear change

    Next investment when get paid, been like it from when i bought the car. Doesnt seem an issue but if means gears will be a bit smoother then would be nice.

    i had this problem on my mums car i drive, took ti to the garage and it was about £20 including the part.

    its not hard at all to change that part just a few bolts and a bar in way that un bolts takes 20 mins to do from under car mine was same but its not the ball part or the linkages its the control arm thats part of the gear stick n a cant b arsed at min to change it
