Leaking Sunroof??

    ive had 2 vtr's and 3 vts's and all of them have had leaking sunroofs some worse than others can anyone help??!!some people say rain comes through the aerial and some people say the rubber seal around the roof any1 any ideas??Cheers greg

    9 times out of ten, it'll be the aerial dude

    You can apply a bit of sealant around the base of the aerial to stop it.

    so take aerial out or jus take sunroof turner out n blob some up~??cheers mate

    i've been reading up on this today. the haynes manual has finally let me down no info about headlining or sunroof removal at all

    Don't worry about the sunroof dude (yet). Prise the interior light and panel out so you can see the underneath part of the aerial from inside the car. Get an assistant to pour water (you'll have to do this several times possibly) over the aerial and check for any leaks coming through. If there is, clear the area up, pop the aerial out, apply a smidge of sealant around the base of the aerial and pop back on. Leave for a couple of hours so it's cured sufficiently and then carry on on your merry way

    That's because the sunroof is suppose to be a "citroen" job according to haynes.

    ive done a sunroof before its only a case of taking roof liner off then just nuts bolts and a stanly to get sealer unlesss you wanna use heat gun

    If not the aerial then blocked sunroof drainage pipes...thats what caused the leak on mine.
