   i was thinking of spraying some parts in my mk2 vtr, mainly, centre console surround, vents and the bit behind the steering wheel, i dont know what its technical name is, the bit that surrounds the speedo, to take this off do i need to remove the steering wheel or just undo the 2 screws, cheers

   its a bit fiddily but you can take out the dial surround without touching the steering wheel.

   Just take the steering wheel off for what its worth, not exactly hard.

   dis connect the battery and wait 15-30 mins then theres two screws in the back of the wheel and the bag with just pull out and there a t50 torxs bit behind the airbag remove that and the wheel will just pull off

    you would get a better finish if you sanded first, and then again between each layer of primer and spray paint

    In my opinion you would get a better quality and longer lasting finish if you sand it

    wat grade, 1200 wet and dry ?? , and btw storm jojom your car is so nice
