hi i have been having some problems with my 1.4 saxo 2001, at first when my car was just started up(cold) i would drive for about 1 min and get to traffic lights ect and pull off and my power would drop , i would dip my clutch , rev then try again and it would be fine , after two weeks now i will drive along and sometime it wont accelerate but when my foots on the floor after 2-5 seconds it would just accelerate again.yesterday and today its doing it all the time,on and off.any answers would be great as i have not a lot of money to go to the garage . and it affects my job

hey matt has the car got a misfire when you get the loss of power?

If it's a misfire then could be spark plugs or ignition coil. I had to change mine recently. Jamie

Hi Matt,

Misfire usually flashes the engine warning light.

You'll need to narrow the problem to be fuel or electrical - can't really be more specific until you this.

Yh the engine light was showing on mine when it was the ignition coil causing it, was £65 to replace tho
