Engine code location and replacement engine

   Got westcoast 1.4, with goosed engine. What i need to know is, where the engine is located, and if i get another engine with a different code, will it still work?? or would i need same engine code as fitted now.

   are you planning on doing the swap yourself? as i think it may be slightly outside your capability range, if you don't know where your engine is located

   engine code is contained in the vehicles chassis number, three letters, KFX and KFZ are both 1.4's IIRC,there may be more then those 2 types of 1.4 though. Got one here for sale but don't have the code to hand

   at the end of the day any engine will fit in to any saxo, fit a vts engine!! lol
