What to do when you buy a 2nd hand saxo vtr.

   Hi guys,
   
   Just bought a lovely saxo vtr thats done about 65k miles.
   
   What are the first things i should do to optimise performance i.e. cleaning, radiator, cooling etc..?

   sorry just remembered... 1st time i drove back the temp light popped on.. hasnt since but not sure if its a well known problem or not.

   give it a major service.
   
   engine oil
   gearbox oil
   spark plugs
   air filter
   oil filter
   fuel filter
   cambelt
   water pump
   tensioner
   coolant
   
   if iv missed anything someone will add to it.

   give it a good engine flush when replacing the coolant

   sorry to jump thread but how do you flush the engine?

   Also a rocker cover gasket.
