mk2 vtr rear wiper arm trouble

   I'm having abit of trouble with it atm its sitting way to high and want to adjust it an place it lower but for the life of me I can't get it off, I've undone the 13mm nut and tried everything to take the arm off but it just wont come off, any ideas?

   So the only way to get the wiper arm off is a hacksaw?

   The danger is that pulling on the wiper to hard can shatter he rear window. Best bet is wd40, leave for a wee while and try again. I think the alloy furrs up between the wiper arm and motor spindle and that's why they are reluctant to come off.
   
   The hacksaw method will of course render the arm useless but is safer as long you take your time and don't catch the paint work. Just cut the arm or the nut to release tension then it shuld come off okay.
