#2a better description would help diagnosis.
does it happen in neutral? does it get louder with revs? is it there when you push the cluth in? can you roughly guess which side of the car its coming from? -
#3if your looking at the engine bay comes from the left side yes lounder when revs and in newutral not unless your reving
-
#4mine does a similar thing well i say does.....i did it and gotreally loud for a month and when i got it but just resently its been behaving, but mine is the clutch going, i was told that there was no point changing it untill it does it constantly, i mean every time you change gear without fail! if it was the driveshaft then if its that bad that you needed a new 1 then it would be doing some serious nocking round corners! o and the steering wobble they normally take on with it

#5could be alternator belt too tight. just had it with mine but was happening around 2k revs. literally loosened it off a couple of turns about 20 mins ago and all is fine now.
-
#6well what happend is my water pump went so i got a garage to change the pump maybe they put the belt on to tight but i got no idea how to losen the belt is it an easy job
-
#7any 1 no how to losen it ?
-
#8to loosen the aux belt first slacken off the bolt at the bottom of the alternator bracket (16mm head) then loosen the bolt that holds the tensioner screw in place on the top of the bracket (13mm iirc) then tighten the tensioner screw (11mm head) a turn, tighten the other 2 bolts back up and start the engine up to see if the noise is gone/reduced.
-
#9i think me needs to buy a hanyes manual becaue im only know where one of these bolts are you got a rough picutre of where the bolts are mate ?
-
#10nah mate i dont. i can get you some when i go home after work if thats any help?
-
#11that would be brill if you could mate and ill give it ago tomoz i will be doing it with some one who is mecanicly minded so its all good i know a bit but just confused which bolts are which but yeh if you could mate and ill give it ago tomorrow cheers bud

#12Does the water pump not run off the cambelt? I only know about 16vs. If it does though it could be the cambelt cover rubbing on the bottom pulley, i 've got the same problem after a water pump/belt change.
-
#13ITS not the aux belt losened it and no different i think its the altonator bearings soo looks like a new one from the scrappy or dealers
-
#14had same problem, loosened the belt a touch... all fine
-
#15cam belt turns the water pump --cam belt too tight --take back to garage that fitted the pump -soon
-
#17mine does the same at the moment. just changed the cambelt and it started doing it, havnt had chance to sort the tension out. does anyone know where i can get it tensioned properly? and how much will it cost.
