Engine conversion problems...no fuel??

  1. #1
Just doing a 1.1 to VTR conversion, we have come across a problem.
We assume there is a spark
    But the plugs are dry
Just bled the injector rail as we thought there could be air in the line
Rest of the engine is cranking just no fuel, any ideas??

Tried the big red button in engine bay?

Is the pump priming? (when you turn ignition to second click)

Take the pipe off the fuel line and turn ignition on to check if fuels getting to the engine.

Right little update there is no fuel nor any spark what so ever, imoboliser was unplugged and an unlocked 3 plug ecu was used....any more ideas???

Check all the earths, fuses etc.

Also check battery terminals (may need a wipe).

Have you checked the battery? May be low on juice?

All them were checked tried another vtr ecu still no fuel nor spark, going to see if it will fire on a 1.1
Battery is on charge now, it must be the ECU???

1.1 ecu should start it,sounds like you have either bought a locked ecu or have locked it yourself by doing somthing

was your origonal transponder box and pick up ring unplugged before trying to start it on the new ecu?

if not theres your problem you will have locked the ecu back up

don't use the 1.1 ecu on a vtr engine - simply logic would tell you the engine won't run great and you risk some sort of damage.

have you checked all the sensors are plugged in?

if youre getting everything but fuel it sounds like immobiliser, but do you have the light on the dash? try giving the fuel pump a direct live and then starting it

will run it fine enough to start it up,just to try it,what damage can be caused then?

theres a lad on 106 owners with a 1.1 ecu and loom running a vtr engine probs doesent run right like and not somthing id try myself but proves it can work if needed
