Just discovered that my MOT ran out about a month ago, but ive been driving around all sorts of places. Its booked in for Thursday.

Havent been stopped by the police, but am i likely to get anything through the post?? Can you get caught on cameras or anything.

    Cheers

I don't think a camera could pick it up. Police would though if they pulled you and did a check on your car. If i were you i wouldn't drive though until it goes in to the garage.

it will only usually come up on police cameras or anpr cameras

    ANPR Cameras.

You would of been pulled though by now if they had.

ANPR checks are for the important issues............mot is the last on the list.

i was driving round with no mot for 3 months up until recently. got stopped by police within that time and they checked my insurance but didn't mention mot. happened last year aswell. driving round with no mot for a month, got pulled, they checked tax and insurance but no mention of mot. my tax ran out aswell this time though and you can't tax your car without a current mot, so it will catch up with you eventually. also without a valid mot your insurance will be void. get done for driving without insurance you could be looking at £2k fine and 6 points or more. not worth the risk to be honest for the sake of £40. i'll not be letting my mot lapse again

I got a letter through the post from Citroen sayin my MOT was due the 8th March so I just presumed it was true and then realised it ran out 24th February

Similar to that, i received a promotional leaflet from a local garage that i had some work done by about money off my next MOT with them. It said '...from our records your MOT on your citroen is due in October...' even though my MOT expires in June and always has done lol
