Clicking Noise From Brakes

   Hi not sure if this has already been said but cant find anything on it anywhere,, anyway when i apply the brakes on my saxo vtr you can hear a clicking noise from the front brakes,, my mate says i could be the piston getting stuck,, anyone no what this is or could be..??

   Maybe you warped your discs...

   Have you got Mintex pads?
   
   Do they click when you reverse and then brake and then if you pull forward and brake for the first time?

   my discs have warped and the car shakes at about 60mph and then when i break above 40mph had taking it to the garage and they had a look and said thats what it is so just waiting to get new 1s fitted this comment might not help but if you have abit of shaking aswell then thats what it could be warped discs

   hello mate mine does the exact same im changing my calipers soon as i was told the same as what your mate has said sticky pistons, worth a clean and see if it makes any difference

   Mine click when im doing the above and its because the pad is not the perfect size for the caliper so when changing from forward to reverse or vice versa the brakes click and the pad moves up or down in the caliper!

    Also, out of interest, did you have your disc retaining screws in?

    If your pads are making a knocking noise you just need to bend the springs to hold the calliper a little tighter. Should help
