Camskill are usually cheapest. If not then try small independent tyre fitting places, can be quite cheap sometimes.

Personally rate them more than the T1r's and didnt know you could get T1rs in 185 55 14 either.

khumo ecsta's for me just as good in the dry, better in the wet, and if your lucky a little bit cheaper too and they will last much longer if your a keen driver

Yoko Parada's are very highly rated, as are Bridgestone Potenza's. Also, one that I thought would be pants but actually when I checked got rave reviews was Uniroyal Rainsport 2's.

Dont forget these are for the VTR 14" rims.

Rainsport 2s are good, i got them on atm. Last a good while too Spec2s didnt last 2minutes on the shoulders for me.

Oh yeah lol forgot it was for 14's! I'm thinking of putting some quality ones on the Astra as the front two are wearing down very low, but cash is tight atm, so might have to wait before I can afford to shell out some serious money on good tread. I'm also veering towards the Rainsport 2's, people seem to love the fact that it gives good ride comfort as well, that's important to me tbh. How are you finding them?

Really good mate, good in the wet though i dont push in the wet anyway. In the dry they are very predictable not the most amazing dry grip though imo. Value for money is one of the best though especially how long theyre lasting me atm!

Only other road tyre id use over these that ive previously used would be the Eagle F1s, but theyre most costly and didnt last that well!

T1Rs which alot of poeple use i think are just average not amazing at anything...price is ok but still not exceptionally cheap to make me favour them over any other tyre thats in the same price range.

Yeah that's one of the reasons why they are so popular, the value. I think I might just go for them, was planning on fitting some Eagle F1's as well, but as you say, bloody expensive. Obviously if I had the money, I would be considering Continental ContiSport Contact 2's. They seem to be on every new car now, and a friend of mine who had them on his Focus ST3 said they were extremely good. But they are mightily expensive!

They last well though! So are good value for money even though theyre alot more costly. Theyll outlast any of the tyres I mentioned. (conti's btw)

Toyo CF1 are brilliant tires, I love them

I'm going to have to find someone nice who works at a tyre place to give me a discount, Conti's actually give me wet dreams. I see them, I want them...
