ecu's with engine conversions

    if u use a ecu from a saxo that has a button code immobiliser would you stil need to get it unlocked or would it work, if not where and hw much can u get it unlocked for, thnx

    any ecu will have to be unlocked for an engine conversion if you dont have the original key, ignition barrel and immobliser box, and its about £65 to get it done from someone off here i cant remember his user name off the top of my head, but hes got a pic of an ecu as his avatar

    ok thanks, ill have to look into that then once i got a vts wiring loom, tried to use the vtr loom and ecu cos a mate did but he ddnt tell me a garage done it for him and re-wired some of it lol so mines all connected up but doesnt prime and dnt think theres a spark from coil pack either lol

    lol haha nah i wouldnt use a vtr loom and ecu with a vts! lol hence why its called a VTR loom and ecu not a VTS loom and ecu lol ive got a vts ecu but its locked though so will need unlocking, if you want it pm me

    yeah i gues lol nah i got an ecu from my old vts where the engine came out of but its not unlocked as some1 stole the keys so couldnt start it to unlock it, and my mate who was helpin me cut the vts wirin loom and the throttle cable was already snapped so i just need the loom and throttle cable then unlock my ecu lol so much hastle it better be worth it lol

    of course it'll be worth it! lol pay your membership fee then get in to the for sale/wanted section asap!

    yeah am thinkin bout usin my mums card was my bday yesterday and i could just say ts a present even tho once engine conversion is done shes payin the money for tax and insurance lol so a membership fee wont make it much more exspensive haha
