Boot not locking!!!!

   Ive just got back from the shops and when i get back i always check that the boot is locked once ive locked the drivers door.
   but today everytime i pushed in the heyhole it opened even when the drivers door is locked and you can hear all the locks locking.
   now this is pretty bad for me as my car is left on the street outside my house in a not so nice area so its a security issue.
   
   any ideas on whats wrong ?
   not sure if it had anything to with when i dewipered the car and unplugged the two plugs from the wiper motor.

   I can't see how the wiper could have effected it :/ why not have another look at the boot lock see if there's anything up with it that's visable.
