Think both the same on the vts"s....

    Same to my knowledge.

    I think theyre different...

When doing a JP4 and J4 conversion you have to use a triple plug coilpack irc or single plug type cant rmember now, so there must be a difference.

Go on euro car parts and compare parts numbers for 1998 and 2003 coilpacks

They are different I bought one off of a member on here thinking they were all the same. Then found out that there were differences.

They are the same except the plug is different. Dont know why they had to be different and change it

    type 1

    type 2

My mk2 to has the black one

    oh dear......

timing checked no belt slip so am stuck to whats wrong...

    any ideas?

    engine light not on...
    engine mounts checked...

i think i gonna av to get a mobile diagnostics out...

would a sensor def put up management light?

wondering now if its stepper does that show up on plug in?

Sensors are the reason the ECU light comes on, but they dont always make it come on lol.

Get a pressure test and also a diognostics at a citroen garage. Its more costly but they will diognose more accuratly than a private garage diognostics.

Mine idles quite bad but drives and pulls spot on. Ive had it plugged in and all it showed was a slightly low reading on the lambda (no EML on) replaced this and its still the same

Mines fine when its first switched on but then gets lumpy when warm

i Changed the whole throttle body...all new working sensors then!

    sorted my car out!

check ur crank sensor ... ur idle control valve and ur map sensor... make sure u havent damaged ur injector loom so its still fueling correctly... change ur igniton relay the green relay in the fuse box... clean everything with carb cleaner and out it bk together....
